About this Place
จากเดิมเป็นวัดในสมัยอยุธยาและผุพังลง จนได้มีการสร้างขึ้นใหม่ในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 4 โดยพระยาพิชิตชลเขต ผู้กำกับราชการเมืองชลบุรีในสมัยนั้น สิ่งที่น่าสนใจภายในวัดนี้ ได้แก่ มณฑปที่ประดิษฐานรอยพระพุทธบาท ตึกหลังเล็กบนยอดเขาที่ภายในมีพระพุทธไสยาสน์ และบริเวณเดียวกันยังมีสิ่งก่อสร้างทรงยุโรปสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 ดูโดดเด่นสะดุดตาอยู่หลายหลัง อย่างไรก็ตาม ในช่วงวันสิ้นเดือน 4 จนถึงวันขึ้น 2 ค่ำ เดือน 5 จะมีการจัดงานประเพณีเดินขึ้นไปไหว้พระพุทธบาทบางทราย รวมทั้งงานประเพณีตักบาตรเทโว ที่จัดขึ้นในเทศกาลออกพรรษา ที่ตั้ง : ถนนสุขุมวิท ตำบลบางไทร อำเภอเมืองฯ จังหวัดชลบุรี
