Thai Islands and Sea Natural History Museum (Koh Samet)
About this Place
Under the supervision of the Royal Thai Navy Fleet, Sattaheep District, this is the location of 5 natural study exhibition buildings. Building number 5 offers the most beautiful viewpoint. It takes about half an hour to walk, starting from Building 1. Visitors can learn about plant genetic conservation, marine ecosystems, fossils, and the changes in sea levels that affect geography. Building 2 displays the ecosystems of tropical rainforests, deciduous forests, ancient forests, and mangrove forests. Walk past Buildings 3 and 4 before reaching the viewpoint. From this angle, you can see the fishing village of Choeng Samet lined up along the coast. Arriving at Building 5, a greenhouse, there is an outside viewing deck that offers a picturesque view of the sea and islands, appearing like a painting. From left to right, they are Koh Raet, Koh Samet, and Koh Kham. Open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Admission fees: Thai adults 50 baht, children 20 baht. Foreigners 100 baht.
If participating in the Koh Samet camp activities, access to Koh Samet is open daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Thai adults 300 baht, children 220 baht. Foreigners 600 baht.
