Located on the side of Surin-Prasat Road, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, it was built as a memorial to the first builder of the city, who is a very important figure in the history of Surin.

About this Place

The monument is a black patinated bronze statue, 2.2 meters high. He carries a pair of swords on his back, signifying his warrior spirit and bravery. His right hand holds a 'chang' (a type of spear or blade), demonstrating his skill in commanding war elephants and indicating that Surin has been a land of elephants since ancient times. The monument was officially opened on April 13, 1985.
