元々は深い森の中にあるバーン・ダン・ラーンホイ郡との境界にあるチャオ・ラーム洞窟に安置されていました。後にトンスィアム郡の人々がワット・トンスィアムに遷座させました。およそ仏暦2472〜2475年頃のことです。
About this Place
このナーガを頭上にいただく仏像は、スコータイの人々から大変尊敬されています。元々は深い森の中のチャオ・ラーム洞窟に安置されていましたが、後に村人によってワット・トンスィアムに遷座されました。特徴としては、仏像の下にティップ（布）が支えとなっており、多くの仏像に見られる通常の線状の模様とは異なり、石の表面に深く彫り込まれた星形の模様があります。また、この仏像は灰色の砂岩から彫り出されており、額当ての中央には縦の線があり、タイで制作されたものであることを示唆しています。制作時期は仏暦2472年頃と推定されます。
