Wat Pho Kao Ton (Wat Mai Daeng)
หมู่ 8
Located in Moo 8, Bang Rachan Subdistrict, this is the place where the Bang Rachan heroes used as a stronghold to resist the enemy who invaded Ayutthaya in 2308 B.E. The villagers call this temple Wat Mai Daeng because there are many red wood trees, which are hardwoods, within the temple grounds, and the villagers have taken good care of them. Within the temple is Viharn Phra Ajarn Thammathikot, a four-faced pavilion. Phra Ajarn Thammathikot was highly respected by the Bang Rachan villagers and was a source of encouragement in their fight against the enemy.
