Wat Pa Phu Kon
Located in the Yu Ng-Nam Som National Forest Reserve, Ban Na Kham Yai, Ban Kong Subdistrict. It is a border area of three provinces: Udon Thani, Loei, and Nong Khai. It is a quiet and peaceful place suitable for meditation practice for the Kammatthana forest monks. The temple, surrounding pavilions, and buildings around the courtyard are designed with beautiful architecture.

Interesting things inside the temple include:
The temple hall features applied traditional Thai architecture of the Rattanakosin period with entrances on three sides. The principal Buddha image inside the temple hall is "Phra Phutthasaiyat Loknat Satcha Mahamuni", a reclining Buddha image made of white marble. Inside the temple hall is also elaborately decorated, reflecting the teachings of the Buddha. Around the inner walls of the temple hall are murals depicting the life of the Buddha and the Jataka tales.
Phra Pathom Rattana Buracharn Maha Chedi is a Sri Lankan-style stupa decorated with gold mosaics, located on the hilltop within the temple. In front of the stupa is enshrined the principal Buddha image, "Phra Ruang Rungroj Sri Burapha", a standing Buddha image (prohibitingāļāļēāļāļī posture) 4.5 meters tall. The very top of the stupa contains the Sarira-dhÄtu (relics of the Buddha). The second floor inside the stupa enshrines marble carvings of the Kammatthana forest monk masters, and the lower floor of the stupa is where the belongings and images of the Kammatthana forest monk masters are kept.
