เป็นถ้ำขนาดกลาง ปากถ้ำค่อนข้างเล็กขนาดคนรอดได้ทีละคน ต้องใช้ความระมัดระวังในการลงไต่ลงไปในถ้ำ ภายในถ้ำมีธารน้ำไหลผ่านตลอดแนวถ้ำ ก่อนไหลลงใต้ดินไปสู่ลำธารภายนอก ภายในถ้ำมีหินงอกหินย้อยรูปร่างต่าง ๆ กัน และมีลักษณะพิเศษที่พบเห็นได้ไม่มากนัก

ถ้ำหงส์ บ้านพิตำ ตำบลกรุงชิง อยู่ในเขตอุทยานแห่งชาติเขานัน ภานในถ้ำจัดเป็นมีหินงอกหินย้อยรูปร่างแปลกตา และมีลักษณะพิเศษคือ มีน้ำตกภายในถ้ำ จัดเป็นถ้ำขนาดกลาง การเดินชมถ้ำต้องเตรียมสภาพร่างกาย เสื้อผ้า รองเท้า เพราะต้องลุยน้ำ ตามลำน้ำระยะทาง 300 เมตร และการไต่ลงไปในถ้ำแห่งนี้ต้องใช้ความระมัดระวังอย่างสูง เนื่องจากปากถ้ำ มีขนาดค่อนข้างเล็ก ลอดเข้าไปได้ทีละคนเท่านั้นเมื่อเข้าไปแล้ว จะพบกับความเป็นธรรมชาติภายในถ้ำ
