About this Place
ศาลตาผาแดง หรือ ศาลพระเสื้อเมือง ซึ่งก็คือศาลเทพารักษ์นั่นเอง เป็นปรางค์เดี่ยวก่อด้วยศิลาแลงศิลปะเขมรสมัยบายน (พ.ศ. 1720-1773) ผนังของฐานเป็นบัวลูกฟัก ด้านหน้ามีบันไดขึ้น ต่อมากรมศิลปากรได้ดำเนินการขุดแต่งและบูรณะศาลนี้แล้ว ได้พบชิ้นส่วนเทวรูปและเทวสตรีสลักหินศิลปะเขมรหลายองค์ปัจจุบันจัดแสดงอยู่ที่พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติรามคำแหง จังหวัดสุโขทัย โบราณสถานแห่งนี้เป็นหลักฐานการรับอิทธิพลทางด้านวัฒนธรรมเขมรในสมัยเมืองสุโขทัยตอนแรกเร่ิม
