About this Place
「ロイ・ダン」は、フアイ・カポ地区、ラック・ダン町に位置し、自然が作り出した不思議な岩の広場です。ペッチャブーン県の地質学習の場となっています。その特徴は、ロイ川の水の流れに乗って運ばれてきた砂利や砂の侵食によって形成された巨大な砂岩の広場であり、この広場を流れる水によって大小さまざまな穴が無数にできています。学術的には、この砂岩層の侵食の形態を「ポットホール（Potholes）」と呼んでおり、丸い形、楕円形、柱状、岩の橋、側面の侵食の5つの形態を観察することができます。訪れるのに適した時期は4月から5月で、この時期には岩の広場の美しさをはっきりと見ることができます。
