チェンカーン地区に位置し、メコン川に平行してそびえ立つ高い山です。山頂にはチェンカーン地区の通信局があります。プートークの雲海観賞ポイントはいくつかあり、眼下に広がるメコン川の景色やチェンカーン地区の家並みを一望できます。また、美しい日の出を鑑賞できる場所でもあります。一年で最も雲海が多く見られる時期は、空気がまだ湿度が高い晩夏から初冬にかけて、10月から12月頃です。
プートークの展望台へのアクセスは、駐車場からチェンカーン地区行政機構が観光客のために用意した乗り合いバス（ソンテウ）を利用する必要があります。プートークへの往復の運賃は、一人あたり25バーツです。運行時間は毎日午前5時から午後6時までです。
