Phu Thok

Located in Chiang Khan sub-district, it is a high mountain range running parallel to the Mekong River. At the summit is the location of the Chiang Khan District telecommunications station. The sea of mist viewpoints on Phu Thok have several angles from which to view the scenery of the Mekong River below and the houses in Chiang Khan town. It is also another beautiful spot for watching the sunrise. The period when sea of mist is most often found throughout the year is during the late rainy season to the early cool season, around October-December, because it is the time when the air is still highly humid. Traveling to the Phu Thok viewpoint: From the parking lot, you must use the songthaew service, which the Chiang Khan Subdistrict Administrative Organization has prepared for tourists going up and down Phu Thok. Service is available daily from 05:00 - 18:00 hrs. The round-trip fare is 25 Baht per person.
