Phetchabura Buddhist Park (Giant Phra Phuttha Maha Thammaracha)

Situated in Sadiang subdistrict adjacent to Highway 21 (Saraburi-Lom Sak Road) just north of Phetchabun town center, Phetchabura Buddhist Park is an awe-inspiring cultural and religious landmark representing the timeless spiritual devotion of the province.

The park was inaugurated in 2011 to celebrate King Bhumibol Adulyadej's (Rama IX) auspicious 84th birthday anniversary. At its heart rises the colossal replica of Phra Phuttha Maha Thammaracha, the province’s most sacred palladian Buddha image. Cast entirely from over 45,000 kilograms of pure brass, the seated statue measures an astonishing 11.98 meters across the lap and 16.59 meters in total height, holding the world record for the largest brass-cast Buddha statue.
