About this Place
寺内供奉着阿瑜陀耶城内最大的卧佛。它有着悠久的历史，并在阿瑜陀耶王国编年史中被提及，是博隆玛戈王参拜卧佛的路线。这尊卧佛是一尊露天佛像，为砖石结构，长42米，高8米。尽管年代久远，但细节仍然相当完整，佛陀的脸庞饱满，充满慈悲和怜悯。佛头有莲花座支撑，非常精美。
这尊卧佛是吸引泰国和外国游客的阿瑜陀耶亮点之一，因为它是在战争中未被摧毁的遗产之一，也是阿瑜陀耶人民作为世界遗产城市的骄傲。
此外，这里还残留着大型建筑和回廊的痕迹。一座高约30米的佛塔醒目而壮观，是该寺的主体建筑。因此，卧佛寺是阿瑜陀耶城内对历史和考古感兴趣的游客的另一个理想去处。
