ตั้งอยู่ภายในกำแพงเมืองพิมายด้านทิศตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ของปราสาทหินพิมาย เป็นเจดีย์ขนาดใหญ่ ก่อด้วยอิฐ ตั้งอยู่บนเนินดินสูง เหตุที่เรียกว่าเมรุพรหมทัต คงจะเกี่ยวเนื่องกับนิทานพื้นบ้านเรื่อง “ท้าวปาจิต นางอรพิม” ซึ่งเล่าว่าสถานที่แห่งนี้เป็นที่ถวายพระเพลิงของท้าวพรหมทัต ปัจจุบันยังไม่ทราบแน่ชัดว่าสร้างขึ้นเมื่อใด แต่สันนิษฐานว่าคงสร้างขึ้นหลังศิลปะเขมรที่ปราสาทหินพิมายอย่างแน่นอน
