EGAT Learning Center Lamtakong

History & Significance

The EGAT Learning Center Lamtakong was established by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) in Khlong Phai, Nakhon Ratchasima. It serves as a modern educational hub dedicated to electricity generation and energy technologies. The center highlights the transition from traditional fossil fuels to renewable energy sources, showcasing Thailand's commitment to sustainable energy development and innovative technologies like the Wind Hydrogen Hybrid system.

Highlights & What to See

The learning center is divided into 7 interactive zones designed to provide an immersive and educational adventure:

• Zone 1: Plaza of the Brave (Lan Phu Kla) - The registration point where visitors prepare for their adventure into the land of energy.
• Zone 2: Energy Land Conquest Mission - Features a 7D movie where visitors learn about energy and search for the energy of the future.
• Zone 3: Energy Land - An adventure through water, wind, and solar energy. Visitors can also enjoy views of the Lamtakong area, which are not visible to the naked eye, from the Energy Land Tower.
• Zone 4: Future Energy Land - Discover cutting-edge energy innovations, specifically the "Wind Hydrogen Hybrid" system.
• Zone 5: Power Generation Mission for Thai Happiness - Learn about EGAT's core mission in generating electricity to bring happiness to Thai people.
• Zone 6: Energy Balance Command Center - An interactive simulation where visitors role-play as power controllers, adjusting fuel proportions to maintain electrical energy balance.
• Zone 7: Happy Lamtakong (Muan Suen Lamtakong) - Explores the local community's way of life, natural resources, and the vibrant spirit of Lamtakong.

Visitor Information

The EGAT Learning Center Lamtakong is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM. It is closed on Mondays and public holidays. Admission is free of charge. Facilities include parking spaces and public restrooms.

How to Get There

The center is located at 301 Moo 6, Tambon Khlong Phai, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Visitors can travel by private car or local transport along the main highway towards Lamtakong.
