Dhep Phitak Phun na Ram Temple (Wat Phra Khao)

Dhep Phitak Phun na Ram Temple is located on Khao Si Siat A mountain, Klang Dong Village, on the right side of Highway No. 2 (Mitraphap Road) at Kilometer 150. There is a turn-off 2 kilometers further, with a paved road leading to the temple. At Dhep Phitak Phun na Ram Temple, there is a large white Buddha image in the attitude of granting blessings, named "Phra Buddha Sakon Sima Mongkol". This name was bestowed by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. Common people call it Luang Por Khao or Luang Por Yai. The lap width is 27.25 meters and the height is 45 meters, signifying that the Buddha enlightened sentient beings for 45 years, or performed his duties for 45 years after enlightenment. It is made of reinforced concrete, standing prominently on a hilltop 112 meters above ground level, or 56 wa (a Thai unit of length), signifying 56 virtues of the Buddha. The left and right sides of the Buddha image are curved in the shape of a Bodhi leaf. There are a total of 1,250 steps, signifying the number of Arahants who gathered without appointment on the day of Makha Bucha.
