ตั้งอยู่บนถนนมิตรภาพ (ทางหลวงหมายเลข 2) ห่างจากตัวเมืองประมาณ 40 กิโลเมตร บริเวณกิโลเมตรที่ 206-207 ด้านซ้ายมือเป็นเนินเขาที่เต็มไปด้วยหินทรายสีขาว ปรากฎร่องรอยของการสกัดหินเป็นร่องลึกรูปสี่เหลี่ยมขนาดต่าง ๆ อยู่หลายแนว และยังทิ้งร่องรอยของคมสิ่วที่ใช้เป็นเครื่องมือในการสกัด สันนิษฐานว่าเดิมคงจะนำหินทรายบริเวณนี้ไปสร้างปราสาทหินที่อยู่ในบริเวณใกล้เคียง เช่น ปราสาทเมืองแขก, ปราสาทโนนกู่ ปราสาทเมืองเก่า
