关于此景点
Wongburi House (Khum Wongburi) is located on Kham Lue Road, Mae Chao Bua Tha. It was built in 1897 by craftsmen from Guangzhou, People's Republic of China, as a wedding gift for the couple, Chao Phrom Wong Phra Thang, or Luang Phrom Phiboon, a descendant of the former ruler of Nan, and Chao Sunantha Wongburi, daughter of Chao Buri (Phraya Burirath).
It is a two-story teak house with a European-Victorian adaptation, painted in light pink, with a double-layered hip roof. Its distinctive feature is the carved wooden vine or 'gingerbread' patterns found throughout the building, which were popular during the reign of King Rama V. The interior is decorated with silverware, glassware, pottery, carved teak furniture, Buddha images from the Chiang Saen and U Thong periods, and portraits passed down through generations. Rare and important documents are also on display, such as a royal decree from King Rama V, slave sale contracts over 100 years old, forestry concession documents, elephant identification papers, and cattle identification papers.
Wongburi House received the Outstanding Conservation Award in 1993 from the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage. It has also served as a filming location for several movies and television dramas and hosts Khantoke dinner events.
