วัดหน้าพระธาตุ ตั้งอยู่ริมแม่น้ำน่าน เป็นวัดเก่าแก่คู่บ้านคู่เมืองพิชัยอายุราว 1,000 ปี ภายในบริเวณวัดมีโบราณวัตถุที่สำคัญ คือ "หลวงพ่อโต" พระพุทธรูปปูนปั้นขนาดใหญ่ หน้าตักกว้าง 3 วา ประดิษฐานอยู่ในวิหารแบบปราสาทจัตุรมุข เนื้อที่ภายใน 99 ตารางวา ตามตำนานระบุว่าสร้างโดยพระยาโคตรบอง เมื่อ พ.ศ. 1470 และภายในวิหารยังเป็นที่ประดิษฐาน "รอยพระพุทธบาทจำลอง" ด้วย ในบริเวณวัดยังมีพระเจดีย์ยอด 5 องค์ สูง 49 เมตร บรรจุ "พระบรมสารีริกธาตุ" และจะมีการจัดงานประเพณีนมัสการหลวงพ่อโตและของดีเมืองพิชัยในเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ของทุกปี ที่ตั้ง: หมู่ที่ 1 ตำบลในเมือง อำเภอพิชัย จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์
