关于此景点
Interesting places within the wildlife sanctuary include:
- Tee Lor Su Waterfall is a large limestone mountain waterfall, located at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level. It is formed by the entire Klo Tho stream cascading down a steep cliff, with water flowing strongly all year round. The width of the waterfall is approximately 500 meters, flowing down in tiers with a height of about 300 meters, surrounded by pristine rainforest. The word "Tee Lor Su" is in the Karen language. "Tee" or "Thi" means "water", while "Lor" or "Lo" means "fall". However, "Su" does not have a similar meaning, so a word with a similar sound is used instead. Since "Su" means "black", this waterfall is called "Tee Lor Su", meaning "black waterfall". Getting there: Take Highway No. 1090 (Umphang-Mae Sot) to Kilometer 161, Mae Klong Mai village. Turn right onto Highway No. 1288 (Mae Klong Mai-Boeng Khling) to De Lo checkpoint (ranger station). Turn left into Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary. The road section here requires a high-performance pickup truck or a four-wheel-drive vehicle only, for a total distance of 50 kilometers. During the rainy season, the road is closed to vehicles due to difficult access and to allow the forest to recover. Tourists wishing to travel during this period must obtain permission from the Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary officials each time. There are two ways to enter: 1. Raft upstream from the pier in Umphang district along the Mae Klong River, taking 3 hours, and then walk to Tee Lor Su Waterfall for another approximately 10 kilometers, taking 3 hours. 2. Walk along the road from Huai Nong Luang Ranger Station to Tee Lor Su Waterfall, a distance of 25 kilometers, taking 4-5 hours.
- Tee Lor Jor Waterfall (Rainfall Waterfall) is located 3 kilometers from Umphang district. You can visit the waterfall by rafting on the Mae Klong River, a journey of 40 minutes. You will find Tee Lor Jor Waterfall at a height of 80 meters.

- Pitu Gro Waterfall (Phreto Chulo Su Waterfall) is located on Doi Sam Muern. It is a waterfall that flows down a cliff, approximately 500 meters high. This waterfall is the source of the Mae Chan River.
