อยู่ถนนกาฬสินธุ์ ตำบลกาฬสินธุ์ เป็นโบราณสถานอันเป็นที่เคารพศรัทธาของชาวเมืองกาฬสินธุ์ เชื่อกันว่าสร้างขึ้นพร้อมการก่อตั้งเมืองกาฬสินธุ์ตั้งแต่ครั้งเมื่อท้าวโสมพะมิตรได้อพยพชาวเมืองมาจากนครเวียงจันทน์ เพื่อตั้งเมืองแห่งใหม่คือเมืองกาฬสินธุ์ในปัจจุบัน หอเจ้าบ้านสร้างขึ้นเพื่อเป็นที่สถิตของมเหสักข์ (เทวดาผู้ใหญ่) และสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ตามความเชื่อของคนในสมัยนั้น และได้รับการบูรณะพัฒนามาในหลายยุคสมัยจนมีรูปแบบเป็นศาลาหลังคาทรงจั่วในปัจจุบัน
