Rong Kluea Market (Mitraphap Border Market)

Located at Ban Khlong Luek, Tha Kham Subdistrict, it is a market bordering Cambodia and an important border trade market in Thailand. It is called Rong Kluea (Salt Warehouse) because this area used to be a place where salt was stored to be sold to Cambodians for making salted fish. Later, from 1979-1993, a war broke out, reducing the need for salt. The Rong Kluea area then transformed into the market it is today. The market stalls are built as large warehouse-like structures, divided into rooms, offering various types of goods such as brassware, ceramics, clothing, electrical appliances, woven products, and dried foods.
