Phuket Walking Street (Lard Yai)

History & Significance

Phuket Walking Street, known locally as Lard Yai, takes place along the entire length of Thalang Road in Old Phuket Town. Both sides of the street are lined with historic Sino-European buildings, offering visitors a glimpse into the architectural heritage and history of Phuket Town.

The market is organized into four main zones:

• Food Zone: Features local Phuket savory dishes and traditional Phuket desserts.
• Souvenir Zone: Displays creative gift ideas, local handicrafts, clothing, and accessories.
• Activity Zone: Hosts community workshops and local interactive events.
• Student & Youth Zone: Showcases products, art, and talents created by local students.

Live entertainment is hosted across three separate stages: Nangleen Stage, Rommanee Stage, and Sin & Lee Stage. Performances rotate weekly and include traditional Manora dance, relaxing folk songs, youth choir music, and beatbox demonstrations by local youth.
