Pathum Thani City Hall (Old Building)

The exact construction date of the old Pathum Thani City Hall is not documented. However, based on its architectural style, it is presumed to have been built during the reign of King Vajiravudh (Rama VI). It is a plastered brick building influenced by Western art. The ground floor is raised about 1 meter, with plastered walls enclosing the space underneath. The front features a two-tiered central hall, with wings extending on both sides. Behind the hall is a rectangular main building. The front of the hall and the building are adorned with round balusters made of plaster, decorating the edges of the hall's pediment. The pediment is arched, embellished with European-style plasterwork. A Garuda symbol is placed in the center of the pediment. The roof is covered with cement tiles. On the front wings of the hall and the verandas on both sides, the ventilation openings are decorated with intricate carved wood. The ventilation openings above the doors and windows are also made of carved wood. The doors and windows are double wooden panels. Its beauty is striking to passersby and visitors alike. It was registered as an ancient monument on February 18, 1996, and has undergone continuous renovation and repair to preserve it as a long-lasting cultural heritage.
