The Lamphun City Tram Tour is an initiative managed by the Lamphun Municipality to promote local tourism and preserve the rich heritage of Hariphunchai's ancient capital. By taking visitors through key historical sites, the tour offers an educational and cultural journey that highlights the long-standing history of Lamphun Province.

The tram tour passes through key attractions, allowing visitors to appreciate the city's heritage. The route includes:

• Wat Phra That Hariphunchai Woramahawihan: The most revered temple in Lamphun, housing a sacred golden chedi.
• Queen Chamthewi Monument: A memorial dedicated to the first ruler of the ancient Hariphunchai Kingdom.
• Community Museum: A place showcasing the local history and lifestyle of Lamphun's residents.
• Khuang Phan Pi (Rot Kaeo Market): A historic local gathering spot and market.
• Wat Chamthewi: An ancient temple famous for its unique stepped-pyramid chedi.
• Wat Mahawan: A historic temple renowned for its ancient Buddha amulets.
• Wat San Pa Yang Luang: Beautifully decorated temple featuring intricate Lanna-style plaster carvings.
• Ku Chang-Ku Ma Ancient Monument: The sacred burial site of Queen Chamthewi's war elephant and state steed.

Visitor Information

The tram tour operates daily from Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays). There are two rounds available per day:

• Morning round: 09:30 AM
• Afternoon round: 01:30 PM

Admission Fees:

• Thai Children: 20 THB
• Foreigners: 100 THB

How to Get There

The boarding point for the tram tour is located in front of the Hariphunchai Artist House (Huan Sinlapin Hariphunchai), which is situated directly in front of Wat Phra That Hariphunchai in the center of Lamphun.
