City Pillar Shrine (Old)

The City Pillar Shrine of Chao Por Kud Pong is an ancient shrine believed to be the residence of the spirit of Chao Por Thong Kham. The pillar is made of Golden Shower wood, measuring 179 centimeters from base to top. The top of the pillar is carved, lacquered, and gilded. His Majesty the King graciously sprinkled and anointed the shrine in 1982 B.E. (2525 B.E.). It is highly revered by many people. The Chao Por Kud Pong Shrine and the City Pillar Shrine are located approximately 100 meters from the fountain roundabout, next to Kud Pong Public Park.
