Wat Sutthiwat Woraram (Wat Chong Lom)
ถนนสุทธิวาตวิถี
Located at the mouth of the Samut Sakhon Gulf in Tha Chalom Subdistrict, this Royal Temple is beautifully decorated. In front of the temple stands the statue of King Rama V, erected to commemorate his royal visit to Tha Chalom and the establishment of the first sanitary district in Thailand.
About this Place
Points of interest within the temple include the Viharn Luang Pu Kaew, which houses a statue of Luang Pu Kaew (Phra Ratcha Sakhon Muni), the former abbot of Wat Chong Lom and head of the Samut Sakhon clergy, for visitors to pay their respects. Additionally, there is Luang Pho Hin Daeng, a large Buddha statue in the Maravichai posture from the late Ayutthaya period, entirely carved from laterite and enshrined in the Ubosot. Its unique feature is the left hand, which has 6 fingers, giving rise to the name 'Luang Pho Hin Daeng 11 fingers'.
