About this Place
ตั้งอยู่ตำบลลำพญากลาง ภายในวัดมีถ้ำขนาดใหญ่ ลึกประมาณ 500 เมตร และกว้างประมาณ 15 เมตร เมื่อเดินเข้าไปในถ้ำซึ่งแบ่งออกเป็นหลายคูหา จะพบพระพุทธรูปประดิษฐานอยู่หลายองค์ หากใช้ไฟส่องบริเวณเพดานถ้ำจะเกิดประกายคล้ายกับดวงดาว เป็นสีแดง สีดำ และสีน้ำตาล สวยงามแปลกตา และมีหินงอกหินย้อยกระจายอยู่ตามเพดานและผนังถ้ำ
ชื่อวัดถ้ำดาวเขาแก้วนั้น น่าจะเป็นเพราะผนังถ้ำมีแร่ธาตุตามธรรมชาติ ทำให้เกิดประกายระยิบระยับอยู่ทั่วไป แม้แต่หินงอกหินย้อย เมื่อกระทบกับแสงอาทิตย์หรือแสงไฟที่ส่องกระทบ ก็จะเกิดเป็นประกายแวววาวสวยงาม
