วัดนี้เป็นวัดที่ประดิษฐานพระพุทธรูปโบราณขนาดหน้าตักกว้าง 7.5 เมตร สูงตั้งแต่ฐานถึงเมาลี 9.5 เมตร สร้างขึ้นเมื่อ พ.ศ. 1909 โดยพระเถระสิริราชวโส เพื่อหลีกเคราะห์กรรม และภัยพิบัติ จึงมีฉายาว่า "พระเจ้าหลีกเคราะห์" อีกชื่อหนึ่ง
การเดินทาง ใช้ทางหลวงหมายเลข 106 แล้วเลี้ยวเข้าทางหลวงหมายเลข 1010 เข้าไปประมาณ 6 กิโลเมตรก็ถึงตัววัด
