วัดนี้เป็นเหมือนจุดชมภูมิทัศน์ที่งดงามมากแห่งหนึ่งของลำปาง เนื่องจากเมื่อมองลงมาจากองค์พระเจดีย์ที่ตั้งอยู่บนเนินเขานั้น คุณจะพบทิวทัศน์เมืองลำปางแบบเต็มตา ซึ่งทางวัดเองก็ได้พัฒนาให้เป็นสถานที่พักผ่อนหย่อนใจ โดยร่วมกับสำนักงานป่าไม้เขตลำปาง จัดตั้ง "วนอุทยานม่อนพญาแช่" ซึ่งอยู่เลยขึ้นไปจากวัด และที่ทำการวนอุทยานฯ แห่งนี้นี่เองได้กลายเป็นจุดชมวิวชั้นดีของลำปาง นอกจากนี้ยังมีการจัดเส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาติบริเวณรอบอ่างเก็บน้ำห้วยโจ้ที่สามารถพักแรมได้ สำหรับการเดินทางเป็นหมู่คณะต้องติดต่อล่วงหน้า โทร. 08 9998 2182
