About this Place
ตั้งอยู่ริมถนนมหาพรหม ตำบลในเวียง เป็นวัดที่มีความสำคัญในเขตหัวแหวนเมืองน่าน วิหารและเจดีย์มีลักษณะศิลปกรรมแบบท้องถิ่นล้านนา สกุลช่างเมืองน่าน ฝีมือประณีตงดงาม วัดนี้ไม่ปรากฏว่าสร้างมาตั้งแต่สมัยใด มีเพียงหลักฐานว่าได้รับการบูรณะในราว พ.ศ. 2425 โดยเจ้าอนันตวรฤทธิเดช เจ้าผู้ครองน่าน และต่อมาราวปี พ.ศ. 2472 ในสมัยเจ้ามหาพรหมสุรธาดา เจ้าผู้ครองน่านองค์สุดท้าย จนถึงเดือนกรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2533 กรมศิลปากรได้ส่งเจ้าหน้าที่มาบูรณะเจดีย์วัดหัวข่วง และประกาศเป็นโบราณสถานของชาติ
