Mae Puem National Park
Mae Puem National Park spans across Chiang Rai and Phayao provinces with an area of 350.8252 square kilometers. The terrain is mostly steep mountains, serving as the origin of the Mae Kaeo and Mae Puem rivers, which flow into the Ing River and subsequently into Kwan Phayao Lake. It boasts abundant forests and is a habitat for various wildlife species. It was declared a national park on December 25, 2009.

The terrain is mostly steep mountains, serving as the origin of the Mae Kaeo and Mae Puem rivers, which flow into the Ing River and subsequently into Kwan Phayao Lake. Mae Puem Reservoir is located near the park headquarters. It is a reservoir with beautiful scenery and is the largest reservoir in Phayao province, covering an area of 8.16 square kilometers, surrounded by lush forests. There are camping grounds along the reservoir's edge, near the tourist service center. Morning mist often drifts over the reservoir, creating a beautiful landscape. From December to January each year, a large number of migratory waterfowls inhabit the Mae Puem Reservoir area.
Additionally, there are interesting activities such as kayaking to view the scenery around the reservoir, cycling, bird watching, walking along the Phojai Skywalk View Bridge, and hiking the Tiger Sleeping Nature Trail, approximately 800 meters long. The trail has clear interpretive signs, allowing tourists to explore independently.
