About this Place

Koh Hong (Koh Lao Bi Le) is part of the Koh Hong archipelago, within the Than Bokkhorani National Park. It is a limestone island with a curved sandy beach resembling a flying bird at the front. The sand is fine and white, and the sea is an incredibly beautiful and clear emerald green. At one end of the beach, a metal staircase with 419 steps leads to the summit, offering a 360-degree viewpoint. From here, you can see the Koh Hong beach below, as well as various islands in the waters of Krabi and Phang Nga provinces. On the other side of Koh Hong is the Koh Hong Lagoon (Inland Sea), which resembles a large hall in the middle of the sea, surrounded by high cliffs like a volcanic crater. Inside the lagoon, the seawater is emerald green. Boats can anchor here for swimming and swimming. Boats can only enter and exit through a single channel when the tide is high. Getting there: Purchase a day tour package from Krabi town, Ao Nang, or Phang Nga (as the sea areas are connected), or hire a longtail boat from Ao Nang or Nopparat Thara Beach. The boat journey takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. National Park entrance fees: Thai citizens: Adults 60 Baht, Children 30 Baht. Foreigners: Adults 300 Baht, Children 100 Baht. On the beach of Koh Hong, there are tourist service centers, a welfare shop, and restrooms available.
