ระหว่างเดินทางกลับมาพักกันในเมือง เราได้ไปแวะชมหาดทรายขาวริมแม่น้ำโขง โดยหาดทรายที่นี่เป็นหาดทรายจริง ๆ ที่เกิดจากการพัดพาของตะกอนทรายในช่วงน้ำหลาก บางมุมเป็นเนินทรายขนาดใหญ่มองดูคล้ายทะเลทรายเลยก็ว่าได้ และที่สำคัญสถานที่แห่งนี้จะโผล่มาให้เห็นในช่วงหน้าหนาวถึงหน้าร้อนนี้เท่านั้น นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถลงไปเดินเล่นถ่ายรูปรับลมยามเย็น หรือจะนั่งมองวิวที่เรียบสงบของฝั่งลาวก็ดีไม่แพ้กัน
