Chai Nat Bird Park

About this Place

Chai Nat Bird Park is located at the foot of Phu Lang Hill, Moo 4, Khok Thaso, established in 1983 on an area of over 250 rai. It is a tourist attraction and bird conservation center. Throughout the years, Chai Nat Bird Park has undergone various developments, making it an interesting tourist destination for both Thais and foreigners. It features the largest bird aviary in Asia, covering an area of 26 rai, where birds live freely. There are also artificial waterfalls, flower gardens, and a zoo. Interesting attractions within the park include the Tourism Information Center, which compiles information on tourist attractions from the 8 districts of Chai Nat Province, presented as an exhibition and through videos on a simulated boat, creating a realistic atmosphere. Tourists can find comprehensive information about tourist attractions here. The Princess Sirivannavari Chuthatuthani Aquarium, dedicated to freshwater fish of the Chao Phraya River, is a collection of over 90 species of freshwater fish, including rare or nearly extinct species, economically important fish, and dangerous fish such as the Asian}$., Siamese fighting fish, ornamental Siamese fighting fish, Sumatran tiger dat, and rock catfish. There is also an underwater glass tunnel where tourists can see the Mekong giant catfish, a giant freshwater fish known as the ldquo;freshwater shark.rdquo; Visitors can also view exhibitions on Thai fishing traditions and a simulated model of the Chao Phraya River. The Planetarium and Science Center was established to enhance education, opening a gateway to the world of science, astronomy, and geography, and to support tourism. It has received royal permission to display portraits and historical information of King Rama IV, who is recognized internationally by the astronomical community as the King of Siam Eclipse for his prediction of the total solar eclipse in 1868. The park also features the Eggs Museum, which collects bird eggs from various rare and endangered species, both in Thailand and abroad, for comprehensive learning. The OTOP Center exhibits and sells products from local wisdom, including 5-star rated items, ideal for souvenirs. Furthermore, tourists can take a tram tour around the park, enjoying the atmosphere of the bird park and the artificial waterfall, which serves as a relaxation spot. The park also offers restaurants, coffee shops, and other amenities.
