อำเภอชานุมานมีพื้นที่ติดกับ แม่น้ำโขงเป็นระยะทางประมาณ 38 กิโลเมตร เป็นเส้นทางชมทัศนียภาพและบรรยากาศสองฟากฝั่งโขงที่สวยงาม โดยเฉพาะบริเวณหน้าสำนักงานเทศบาล ตำบลชานุมาน ได้มีการสร้างถนนเลียบริมฝั่งโขงเป็นระยะทางยาว เหมาะแก่การพักผ่อนหย่อนใจ และเที่ยวชมทัศนียภาพ ในช่วงฤดูแล้งระหว่างเดือนกุมภาพันธ์-พฤษภาคม สามารถมองเห็นดอนชะโนด ซึ่งเป็นเกาะขนาดใหญ่กลางลำน้ำโขง และเกาะแก่งต่าง ๆ ได้อย่างชัดเจน
