Blue Cave
About this Place
Located at the Buddhist Meditation Center, Blue Cave, Moo 6, Mahawan Subdistrict, is approximately 30 kilometers from Mae Sot town. The cave is named 'Blue Cave' because the rock inside is blue, unlike other caves which are red or orange. Upon entering the front cave hall, you will see a reclining Buddha in Burmese art style and various Buddha statues. Further inside is the Elephant Trunk tunnel, a cluster of rocks eroded into a hollow, shaped like a large elephant's trunk. Some parts of the cave are quite dark, so it is recommended to bring a flashlight.
Opening Hours: 08:00 - 17:00 hrs.
