บ้านห้าง ร.5 หรือบ้านพะโป้ ตั้งอยู่ตำบลนครชุม ใกล้วัดสว่างอารมณ์ เป็นอาคารไม้สัก 2 ชั้น สร้างด้วยไม้สักทั้งหลัง รูปแบบทรงไทยผสมตะวันตก ประดับด้วยไม้ฉลุลายอย่างประณีต พะโป้เป็นคหบดีชาวพม่า มีอาชีพค้าไม้บริเวณปากคลองสวนหมาก เมืองนครชุม ได้ซื้อบ้านต่อมาจากพระยาราม เมื่อครั้งรัชกาลที่ 5 เสด็จประพาสต้นเมืองกำแพงเพชร เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2449 ได้เสด็จเยือนบ้านพะโป้ จึงเป็นที่มาของชื่อบ้านห้าง ร.5
ปัจจุบันบ้านพะโป้มีสภาพทรุดโทรมลงไปตามกาลเวลา แต่ก็ยังคงความสวยงามและร่องรอยเรื่องราวทางประวัติศาสตร์ไว้ให้คนรุ่นหลังได้ศึกษา และยังได้รับการอนุรักษ์ไว้ให้อยู่คู่เมืองกำแพงเพชร
